    Default ultralight rod

Saw these on another post and was wondering if anyone had tried one and what your thoughts on it are.

Bmaidt: I haven't tried the outfit pictured but it looks like it might be a good setup for ice fishing...Rusty.

i thought it might be a good pack rod to have at all times incase some fishable water was happened upon. The fly fishing set up is interesting also.

Did anyone ever purchase this rod? It looks like a gimmick to me but maybe it really works?

I have used similar for ice fishing. You would be surprised how well you can cast w/ a 24-30" ice fishing pole. Regular fiberglass, good guides and UL reel.

I have also had good luck putting a handle on a broken rod tip. some of those can be ridiculously light.
