    Or, black's been a low percentage of Kifaru's production for quite a while and those who have it don't roll it over. Rit dye is a thing, and it works pretty well with vinegar on the stove... That would open your options a lot, depending on how picky you are about buckle color; my experience is that buckles don't take dye quite as well.
