How are you attaching the lid at the top?

K-Clips that I took off the guide lid kit that came with the Native. I'm thinking of adding a frame sheet in the back sleeve. Might be an overkill for the little bag though.

those pictures make it even more confusing to me that the guide lid's capacity is greater than the native.

Agree 100%. But, I think Jauwater's setup of using the Native *with* a lid makes more sense than using a Native *AS* a lid.

Nice setup Jauwater. If you're thinking of adding a frame sheet, here's a random thing I ran across the other day, just for a design consideration from Prometheus Design Werx S.H.A.D.O. Pack 28L Frame Sheet:

Yea I assume they went with the smallest dimension of the native in coming up with cubic inches. In the photo I got it expanded almost to the limit. Like 25 inches in height or something like that.

Nice setup Jauwater, never even thought to throw a guide lid on there. The back sleeve works quite well for a Thermarest sitting pad by the way. You can adjust the stiffness with a little more or less air. You can also stick arrows in there between the shoulder straps.

Nice Bender, the arrows will do the trick. I was hesitant with the idea of the frame sheet cause of the weight. Planning on using this setup on a long backpacking trip, 4-6 weeks, and had a Z-Lite seat in the sleeve. Some added arrows will be proper. Thanks for lookin out. Ha, the first time I seen the Native, the guide lid was the first thing I thought of. I really like the bag, thanks guys.
