Default Let's see your Frankenstein packs!

I always messing with a load out in some way. This has been my set up for archery and late rifle this year and has worked wonderfully so far. I like a smaller pack for getting around in the brush and for wearing day in and out for weeks. I keep a grab it in the bottom to take the first meat load to the rig and get the pack frame.
The shoulder straps are from a G2 duplex and the compression straps are from Kifaru as well. I really dig the new metal clips they are using. My next mod is to sew some tabs on the top lid to mount a medium belt pouch.

I probably have put more frankenpacks together then most. I don't have time to post pics right now cause IM on my way to work but when I have some time later I will throw a bunch up here. Ive cross bread packs between Kifaru, HPG, Exo mountain gear and Kuiu. will throw some photos up later.

I'm looking forward to it. I've mixed MR, HPG, Alice pack, and kifaru for years with mixed results.

I am curious why you switched the shoulder straps out from the HPG ones? I have thought about switching my G1 Zulu to the HPG yoke set-up.

Also, are still located in La Grande? I am located here too. Crazy weather today.

Dude you're in LG?????? PM coming your way.

As for the shoulder straps, I'm a medium t-shirt sized guy. With their original pattern snubby for my binos and pistol, I am just plain to small to fit their super wide shoulder straps on me too. Just too much going on.

Here is a pic from this past archery season my trail cam got. As you can see the way more narrow Kifaru straps fit me perfect. The HPG would leave me swimming in 500d!

Here's my Frankenstein... only one kuiu pack was harmed during this trip. A guide lid is on my list but never made it under the tree...Name: IMG_2884.jpg
