Default snowshoe/cotton tail rabbit hunting in Washington

    Hello all,

Does anyone have any good places (that they are willing to share) to go for rabbits? Cottontails are fine however I have heard we have snowshoes also and I think that would be fun. I am looking for next winter, a place or two to take my daughter along.

    Thank you

    huntinhick.

This may not be much help, but, I don't think I've been anywhere in Washington with snow on the ground, where I DIDN'T see snowshoe rabbit tracks.
If it snows again this year, just go to the hunting spot most convenient to you and scout around for tracks.

Hick, I've seen both kinds but I've never seen so many I thought, hey this is a great place to hunt rabbits. I'm seeing more and more Snowshoes in Colville but for you that's way too far to go for bunnies. I saw a couple snowshoes last year on the north side of Lake Wenatchee. There's several great trail heads if you want to do some light backpacking/bunny hunting. Easier to find good grouse numbers than rabbit.
