    Default Vintage Wiggys

    Hey guys,

I thought some of you might enjoy this. Here are a couple photos of a parka I had Wiggy custom make to my specs back in the 80's. I was using a lot of Wiggys gear back then. You will notice it is a pull over design with a deep front zip, and an insulated tunnel pocket, with drawstrings at the collar and hem. Kind of like an early version of a Kifaru parka but very simple, with much less features. Trust me, the Kifaru parka outperforms this in every detail.

Nice design Mel. I've always loved the Anorak style for really crappy weather.

It looks heavy. I am assuming quilted thinsulate was used in the late 80's before the ultralights or polar guard? still love the high collar design on the kifaru parka, I am still keeping hope that the parka and vest/sleeves makes a comeback.
Right now on eBay someone has a large Kifaru insulated parka going for $204. I would be on it, but I'm holding out for the G2.
