After breakfast Landon wanted to fish with Scott and the boys so Joe my brother in law hopped a ride in my canoe and picked up two more...

The fishing slowed a bit so we went in for lunch and to get started packing up camp. After we fished for another hour or so, but things were slow....REAL slow...

All in all a great trip though...one of my best quickie overnighters. It also was Landons first overnighter away from any sort of civilization.
The Emberlit worked great. The Woobie again reminded me of just how usefull it is. I slept in it, Landon had it covering him while fishing....Its really one of my favorite pieces of kit. I was wearing Smartwool baselayer, Microtex pants and 24-7 bottoms, Microfleece turtleneck and Microtex lite button up shirt and made the upper 20's with the Woobie. My 24-7 vest/sleeves/hood were used as a pillow in a stuffsack...I figured if I got cold I'd break'em out and forgo the pillow, but had no trouble.
Pack weighed 44 lbs including life jackets, canoe went another 35 or so.

Nice place and nice fish too! But surely you took pictures of the fish cooked up?
