Even with a high end optic, like an Elcan SpecterDR or Nightforce mounted, I'd probably still manage to miss my mouth with it!

One of those pistol bayonets would be just right for non-firearm defense..... hot coffee to the face, then stab, then hit with mug.! Just watch out how you drink.
