Default Water bladder for an E&E?

What sized water bladder will comfortably fit the slot pocket in the G2 E&E? Is one brand considered better than others?

I'm blind to pics on this computer, but I think I covered that in this thread:

the Camelbak 2L HotShot appears to no longer be in production, and available from fewer and fewer reliable vendors.

The Camelbak stuff was awesome because it was free for me. Since being issued a Source bladder, I've become a convert to their products, and they do a 2L that should be a good fit:

Main advantage with Camelbak was that the cover and bladder was a one-stop deal. With the Source product, you have to track down a London Bridge Trading cover. LBT will make stuff for open-market purchase, then get a huge .gov/.mil contract, then their product becomes hard to find for people who aren't issued it.

A great (as usual) post from ITS about the Source bladders and LBT insulated covers:

I would use a Platypus Big Zip 1.8L. Nice bladder. I have them of varying sizes in all of my KF packs.
