Global Warming - A Good Thing.

Why don't most survivalists embrace the idea of global warming as the means by which the **** might hit the fan?

I don't know about "most" but I'm sure there are some who do. However, while there is some evidence for climate shift (as has happened numerous times in the past) the case for "global warming" is increasingly shaky.

Perhaps 'most' was incorrect, as survivalists are really quite a diverse group, but I don't see too many survivalists using global warming, however plausible or implausible, as one of the things that might justify preparation for end times. Perhaps because the effects are too far off, as opposed to Bank Collapse, Government Collapse, Economic Collapse, Mayan Calendars and such. I suppose in a way you might classify some of the more extreme global warming alarmists as survivalists, but they don't appear to identify themselves as such, and I don't think too many would have a bug out bag or years supply of food and ammunition.

I'm more of a simple living guy myself. It's all I can afford. ;-)
