I have one, I love it, and I have a soft spot for it. Since my ParaTipi was my first solo Kifaru shelter, I have both sentimental and practical reasons for never getting rid of it, despite the fact I have a lighter weight shelter. One advantage my ParaTipi has over my ParaTarp is utter bombproofness. Our long-time friend, WoodsWalker, has written in years past about the PT's "dark side of the moon" dependability, and I can back this up with years of experience. No gaps up front to leak water or wind. A centrally-located wood stove that's easy to load from the confines of a sleeping bag, provides better heat to your foot area, and lots of room if you're solo backpacking or ski touring. Both the Para Tarp/Annex and Super Tarp/Annex are lighter in weight, but neither provide the equivalent protection and eveness of heat of a Para Tipi for solo backpacking and extreme condition rambling. When the chips are down and I'm in full-blown rambling mode I'll be toting a ParaTipi and small stove.

I have a Para Tipi with small stove. Wouldn't be without it.
I also have a Para Tarp, with a parastove. They actually get used more, simply because they both live in my vehicle based survival kit and are always there for that 'unscheduled' extra day or two in the hills.

Next buy will probably be either a 4 man or Sawtooth along with a medium stove.

Love the Paratipi as well. Another plus, at full extension, my trekking poles will pitch it. I am pretty sure I got the idea from saw tooth, but use a little piece of PVC on the end to protect the tipi.

It's hard to beat the paratipi for 2 person camping, my wife and I use one on a lot of hiking trips. We use the 6 man with a large stove when we have the grand kids or winter camping using a pulk.
I will be looking at a supertarp this year and then maybe the sawtooth down the road. A person can't have too many tents.

Someone could heat that tent on the dark side of the moon. Paratipi and small stove....Bomb proof. I have slept 2 but it works best solo with gear.

    edit.

    Inside tent shots.
