    Default Big Loop Ramble

    1) Sawtooth and Patrick Ramble Again! On the heels of the Northwest Rendezvous Sawtooth and I headed out again for a tour of a big chunk of Colorado’s majestic high country. Paul called this The Big Loop Ramble, and you can find a fine account of the adventure on his Thread by that name on the Hunting Forum. I hope these images will add to his rendering.

    Beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Is that a 4 man or a 6 man tipi?

MrFisherman, that is a six man tipi. We used a medium stove. Worked out quite well.

My, my. Makes a fellow yearn for the comfortable plenty of Summer.

That looks like mule deer country, did you run across any? Did you ramble up by the snow fields?

Thanks for the reply Patrick, I have a 4 man on the way. It is the old style... I am hoping it isn't too small for me. That 6 man looks pretty roomy and would allow my 5' 9" frame to stand upright to dress even with a roaring fire.
It will be here in 6 more days and I can hardly wait.
Still think I need a liner for use in the rainy PNW. Netting would be nice as would a stove.
Rather than hijacking this thread maybe I'll start another one for sugestions and advice.
I sure appreciate the videos. It would be really cool to have videos available with each model actually being used.
I can see myself owning more than one of these.... the only question is wether I can do it and remain married lol.

Bodark, it is good mule deer, and elk, country. For some reason we didn't collide with many, even tho being there a longish time and covering plenty of ground. As we hunters know that sometimes is the case.

MrFisherman, as time allows I think we would like to increase the video library on more of the gear. Thanks for the reminder.

Patrick and Saw: The 5th picture down-what am I looking at? Something is crossed [X] in the tipi. Are you guys testing a geezer thing I should be aware of? Chair maybe? Eyes playing tricks on me?
