Also got a lot of good...
There is still a lot of utility from an HT - but, my advice, get one with a removable antenna so that you can add an external one, one, say, hung up high in a tree - better receive and transmit...
Cool; email sent. ;).
Thanks.

I have a camp coat from Empire; I would never sell that - way too nice for wearing about the bush to part with!
Thanks - that is a good idea to use the welding blanket; not expensive either and there are a lot of shops here in my town to buy up one of these. I am sure I could put some of that extra fabric to...
The pipe edge?
I was wondering what would cause that... I too have another stove jack I bought for putting into another tent that is yet unused; I was thinking I could simply stitch it over the...
My tipi has been in use for 5 or 6 years now. Looks like the hole on the stove jack is getting bigger

Indeed, being out in the woods with tarp and tools and a pot for boiling is easy as pie: getting the calories needed to live is not. Alone is a test of two things:
(1) the person's psychology and...
Interesting story.

I was out for a week last week and made up some bannock in the current pan I have - which I bought for making blueberry pancakes in the woods (the forest is full of blueberries at times).
But...
I have had my tipi for 6 or 7 years now. The first time it went up in the back yard I installed the liner and the liner has been in and not removed since. The tipi got a lot of use the last few...
Oh - nice - I had one of these made for me by Empire Canvas. Super quality. 200 US for that is a steal. I can't imagine ever selling mine!
Even without knowing your question was about the pipe, the first thing I would have noticed and thought to myself is that pipe is sticking up super high compared to mine.

I had a painful muscle spasm in my leg. I could not sit down without the leg taking on a mind of its own, flopping about and sending pain impulses to make my brain unhappy.
Strange.
So I...
I'll miss out - I have some people coming up north to go out with me - that was to be next weekend, not this; but the day was changed at the last minute.

I like to have a saw: I have a small foldeable, the sawvivor; it is ok for its weight; but, it is volume/size limited and needing a lot of time finding and sawing wood. I have a standard hardware...
The over-the-boat cleats, I have those for when there is not enough snow for snowshoes but enough to make for an energy-sapping walk or if it is super icy. I have had good luck with 'diamond...
