    I'd definitely look into compressed fuel, pellets, things like trioxane, and had not thought of charcoal but coal might rank high, vs the weight of gas- gas being ok but the container not so light....

    I've never been of the mind to keep the tipi warm period, just use it to warm up to eat, dress etc...

    That being said, I'd be thinking that simple dry tufts of grass would burn well if dry enough...

    Remember to insulate the bottom of the cot extremely well if it gets cold or she'll freeze from the bottom up. Ever think of using the big tipi and a big airmattress instead?
