Do you have a .270? I have about 40 Speer 170 grain roundnose (very old) bullets laying around which I will never use. Am looking for someone from brushy country who will put them to good use & not just throw them downrange. No charge -

Bought out an old guys reloading stuff - some pretty cool goodies he accumulated over 50+ years of reloading & shooting.

Well...if the manuals are that close, it would certainly head me in the right direction. I'll take it if you bring it out.

My hunting partner was lucky enough to draw a permit this year for WMD 4 during the September season. Would you mind fielding a few questions? Clint (the guy with the tag) is from Idaho and has killed three Shiras moose out there, including a really nice bull last year. He drew a tag in 2007 in New Hampshire and let his father be the subpermitee. They got a nice bull that year. Obviously, we're looking for whatever guidance we can get regarding areas to look for and areas to avoid. Also, I'm wondering if it would be worth it to get a bear tag. What about the brook trout fishing in this area? Thanks in advance for your help.

  4. Randy,
I would again stick with this order of WMD's: 7, 8, 9, 12, 1, 2, 5, 4, and any others but 13. Good luck and make sure you try and get a bunch of folks in on the lotto. It helps up the odds. And be sure to call me if you get picked.

Time again to apply for the coveted Maine moose permits. Wanted to check with you again on the preferred order of unit/hunt applications for 2009. Thanks so much for your time and good luck in your resident draws.
