  1. Hi Steve, I have an 8 man and a 4 man. They are worth the money if you can afford it. Get the size you can carry on your back depending on how many friends you bring. Or get the biggest you can afford if weight isn't an issue (e.g. car camping) keeping in mind foot print size of the area you think you will be camping. Note that if you are bushwacking you can set these up over stumps and bushes so foot print size is more flexible than with a floored tent. Also remember that the key to these things is the stove. The heat factor is what it's all about. If you dont plan on using a stove, save your money and go with a cheap tent or tarp.

    I just joined the forum and have been watching and reading..... I am in the market for a single pole tent and got turned on to Kifaru. Maybe out of my price range right now but I will own the 6 man sooner than later... I am in Rhode Island and see your in MA. Where in MA? Are you near RI?
