Any of you guys have a link to some simple and sturdy target stands that will support targets up to 25x36 and will take down small enough to fit in a car??

Would this work? It fits right in the back seat.

1source, I have some old wire-framed, stick-in-the-ground election signs if you want 'em. They aren't as big as 25x36, tho. Have 10 or so, if you want them, I'll bring them up. Don

14 12-14" long pieces of 1-1/2" PVC, 6 T joints, 2 pieces of 1" firring strips cut to whatever length you want, and a piece of cardboard.

For each side take one T joint and glue 3 pieces of the 12-14" PVC pipes in to it slide the center of the 2 other T's on to this assembly for take down/adjustment and then glue 4 other pieces of PVC in to the remaining T joint openings and repeat for the other side. Drop your firring strips down in to the center 14" uprights, staple a piece of cardboard to these and then stick whatever target you want on to the cardboard backer.

There is little to no level ground where I live. It's very hilly, and it's clearcut country, so I cut plate steel pigs and tiny steel buffalo and hang'em high in trees wall bordering clearcuts. They can be a little reactive as they swing a little when you hit them.

My lasted plate steel will be a simple small rectangle, and I have an area that will give me a 1200+yd shot on it. When the snow melts, I'll be there pinging some steel. Cant wait for the snow to leave.

Huntsman,
If you wish to bring the target frames up, I am sure we can make use of them.

I am going to try my hand at building some but it is nice to have a back up plan /images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Election signs, that is a good idea.
