I bought an older Mountainsmith bag from the garage sale, and it was sent in for warranty repair, and when it came back there was a note that said to cut 3/4'' off the pack stays, which I did. I think it may have been too much, and I'm hoping things are still OK. I've never owned one of these packs before, can anyone tell me how to utilize the tape measure webbing on the shoulder straps to help adjust the pack? There are size measurements on them, but I'm not sure which numbers pertain to which buckles...thanks in advance!

Good morning, PDX...
honestly, just ignore those old measuring tapes. The principles are the same on our large hunting or military packs, so please click here for fit instructions.
