If you cook wild rice and then dehydrate it, how long does it take to rehydrate it? Does it loose any fiber or nutritional value doing it this way? Dean

You can actually get an instant version of wild rice, by Gourmet House, it calls in the directions for simmering for 5 minutes, but it comes back just fine with boiling water and sitting for 10 minutes. Their website is http://www.gourmethouserice.com (http://www.gourmethouserice.com) The rice is called "quick cooking".
But yes, you can cook and dry wild rice at home and dry. It does not lose fiber during the drying. Figure 4-8 hours to dry, and be sure to stir it really well every hour or so, to break up clumps.

Glad to see you on the site here.
I've gone to visit your site quite a bit.
I've done several on your recipes. They sure make life easy while in the backcountry.

Now I just need to buy your recipe book.
