Gotta agree, Budman, a story needs telling. Looks like quite an adventure.

Hey Budman, very nice pics.

Not to change the subject, but what's the caliber of your rifle and how's the accuracy with that Mannlicher stock?

Hey Jay,

I was wondering the same thing - two whole rams alongside a pretty large stream?? I've found them in the timber before but never with their swim trunks on.

OK
Sometimes in AK you find sheep populations along the river corridor on shear cliffs. That is what happened to my pard Pat and I. We rounded a bend in the river to find 2 rams looking at us as we past them and they were only 150 yards up the cliffs.
We beached on the opposite bank to check the prospects of the rams being legal. Danged if they BOTH weren't good legal rams. Well after 1 shot apiece we had 2 rams down. After launching the raft we rounded the bend to find 2 sheep floating down river. This has only happened to me twice in 20 years of hunting here in AK. Once on the Colville up north and once on the ........8-)

How did you get the whole sheep so close to the river? We have to fly them out in supercubs from 7,000' in Alaska or pack them out on a death march. Where are you hunting?
