Does anybody else default to the "What's New?" tab when going to "kifaruforums.net"? Is there something in your personal settings that can change that? Wow, very exasperating to try to come to the forum everytime and defaulting to the tab that lets me know that Larry posted "you have a pm" in somebody else's thread or that Big Kahuna posted his opinion in somebody's thread about hunting chupacabra in Mexico. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Try clicking "What's New" and then "New Posts" to get to the old rundown of recent threads.

All that does is change what shows up under what's new. It still doesn't let me default to "Forum".

I'm not entirely sure if this is what you're looking for, but you might try saving the following to your favorites:

Or just save Bushcraft's link to a window that always opens. When I open Mozilla, I have 6 or 7 windows that pop up.
Open all the windows of regular websites you use.
From internet options, find the home page box, check the "use current pages" button and call it good.

Maybe I'm too much of a Luddite when it comes to this stuff, but it just aggravates the snot out of me when a site I visit daily makes all kinds of 'improvements' and all I have to do is change this and download that and link to this other thing and ... I personally haven't found a single thing that justifies this new look.

It used to be that I would type this and hit enter: www.kifaruforums.net

It would launch as this: http://www.kifaruforums.net/forum.php

But now when I type this and hit enter: www.kifaruforums.net

It default launches to this: http://www.kifaruforums.net/activity.php

I have made zero changes. I just want to type this: www.kifaruforums.net

And get to this: http://www.kifaruforums.net/forum.php

I have edited and changed my bookmark on my home page and if I am at my home page I can click the link and get to where I want to be. Apparently, from testing on multiple computers, long gone are the days I can just type: www.kifaruforums.net and get to the home page. Now, after testing on about 8 different computers, I type www.kifaruforums.net and have to go to the activity screen first.

Strikes me as a first world problem. I don’t get all hot under the collar about it, I just whirl my track ball up and click on “Forum”. Just not worth getting “extremely annoyed” about.

Thank you Mahatma Gandhi. That was very helpful. Perhaps next time when I go to a public forum to seek others' expertise in remedying what may be a simple problem I will leave out the colorful language such as "extremely annoying" so as to not lead others to believe that I am sitting at home stewing angrily over something that really isn't that big of a deal. That way, I may be able to get constructive input as opposed to life philosophies. Exploriment, you are correct, it's just not worth getting extremely annoyed about and hopefully has a simple remedy. Luckily, although extremely (maybe truly only slightly) annoying, it doesn't make me hot under the collar; and, life will go on. Maybe, just maybe, by posting and asking if someone knows something I don't, I will be able to remove even the smallest of annoyances in my life. If that doesn't work, I will do as I always do, adapt, overcome and drive on.

BigSky, sorry I have been hunting! I fixed the issue.

Tom, the update was mainly for a security patch. I agree change sucks. But it's the nature of this internet beast!

Ryan,
Thanks. I assumed it was something simple I would have to do on my end. As always, I appreciate the efforts you all make.
