View Full Version : Don't be afraid of the dark...or aluminum

I'm a changed man, I'm not afraid of the dark or aluminum stays....

Love the way my G2 Long Hunter Carries a load, wished it were lighter, picked up a KU5200, it's lighter, "liked it;" though, thinking of taking my G2LH on my next trip because of comfort......then I recalled when I first picked up my G2LH I shaped the stays in the lumbar region to bring the pack closer to my back.....so My new 3/4 inch KU aluminum stays just arrived, i shaped them identically to my G2LH and ....poof I now "love my KU5200!"

Composite laminated stays are real light, given my deep lumbar region I just needed a bit more shape.

Moral of the story: aluminum weighs more yet offers the shape which made all the difference for my back.

Patrick really is a talented man, we are all blessed to have him.

Thanks Patrick!

And thanks Angie for your kind support.

I agree. It's nice to have both options but I'm aluminum all the way. I have a tricky back and the ability to fine tune the stays is a huge plus!
