My four-man is about as big as you could ever bring up there and hope to pitch, but it's great to have on those cool evenings!

Nice! Seems to me you have already seen some 30's overnight out that way...I can hardly wait to get those temps here in NY.

How is it pitchin' a tipi on the ledge rock?:confused: Were you able to find enough soil?

the rocks up there are huge! i took a 12 man up and we had a hard time driving pegs. a 4 man would fit a lot more places easily.
i had that trip on the list since 1965 but did not make it until 09.

It's always a challenge staking down a tipi in the BWCA, but there is usually at least one tent pad big enough with enough soil to stake it down at any given site. And the stove was very nice to have on those chilly nights!

The BWCA is a very nice place to have nearby, and I go 1-2 times a year. It never disappoints...
