Anyone out there have a cure for noisy zippers on packs and/or pouches in the field? Silicone spray? I've tried the wax like sticks used on drysuit zippers without success. Appreciate any feedback. OK, I have been accused of being a noise freak. You probably know the type, rattling loose change in an ashtray of a vehicle can send us sort of people over the edge!

I don't like noise either. I put electricians tape on the zipper tabs to quiet them when you are carrying the pack. I wear gloves and grip the zipper tightly while zipping or unzipping to muffle it. Just move it real slow.

I have used tape, shrink wrap for electrical wires, but the best for noise was moleskin or adhesive backed felt. Cut a small strip and wrap it around the zipper. I have even seen this in camo. Dan

should have clarified the above remedies are for the zipper tabs, just keeps them from jingling. Not for the actual zipper. Dan
