View Full Version : LongHunter Standard -- archery bivy hunt

I am considering purchasing this pack to bivy hunt with this Fall. Is it too big/bulky (5200 cubic inches) to shoot your bow while wearing the pack?

I would be carrying 30 pounds in the pack while shooting and have it cinched down as small as possible. I thought that the bigger pack would be useful in hauling meat when we get lucky. Comments from anyone that is using this pack in this manner?

I have been bowhunting for 17 years and have no problem with shooting my bow with the Longhunter Guide Model on. I'm shooting a compound now, and have no problems. I haven't tried my longbows with it, thanks to a shoulder injury...

But I prefer to use the Spike Camp for bowhunting, as it's a little easier to move around with.

It's almost summer. Practice with it when you go stump shooting and you'll be fine.
