260 rem loads

I bought a 260 barrel for my rambler over a year ago. Due to problems I won't get into, I have only shot 20 shoots thru it. The problems are behind me and I want to work up some loads. Anyone got anything they like.

I dug out some loads. As always, start at least two or three grains lower than these and work up, if warranted.

---43gr. H-4350; 140gr. Nosler Part.; Fed. 210 pr.(excellent all-around big game load).

---45gr. Reloder 19; 140gr. Part.; Fed 210 pr.

---47gr. Reloder 22; 140gr. Part.; Rem 9 1/2 pr.

---39gr. H-4895; 120gr. Sierra; Fed 210M pr.

---47gr. IMR-4831; 120gr. X-bullet; Rem 9 1/2 pr.

---47gr. IMR-4831; 125gr. Nos. Part.; Rem 9 1/2

---15gr. IMR-4227; 100gr. Hornady; WLRM pr. (small game load.)

There. That should keep you out of the pool hall for a while. Great caliber, BTW. Enjoy.

I ordered some Speer TNT Varmit bullets .260 90 Gr from Cabellas. I don't have a clue where to start. I have a Speer manual but it doesn't list the 90 Gr.

I wanted something for coyotes. I was toying with the idea of buying a .243 barrel which I still might do, but I thought I would give the .260 a chance first.

There doesn't seem to be a great selection of bullets for the .260. I am going to try some ballistic tips 100 and 120 Gr. also Hornady 100 and 120 Gr. SP, Barnes 120 Gr. solid. Maybe theres more bullets than I think out there. Maybe I'm rattling on to myself. If anybody hunts varmits with a .260 please jump in here.
