Folks,
This might be a bit early for a request thread, but I'm sure it will gain traction as the date gets closer.

Post your wishes and dreams for the 2011 CO Rondy here.

I'll start.
I suggest that we have a 50 gun salute for our dear buddy Timberline. With any luck he might have put in a good word upstairs for a low wind weekend this year. ;)

I second that suggestion, Wyo!

Also, if any lucky soul has a new Ruger Gunsite Scout rifle by then I'd love to see one!!!

Saw, I don't have a Ruger factory scout, but I do have a couple of scouts, one built on a Rugar action and one built on a Win. mod 70 action. I can bring them if you or anybody else is interested. I'd kind of like to see Scott or Evan's scout with the variable power pistol scope on it.

I'll put my bino request that Smoke and Kevin responded to here in case somebody else has a different variety.

One more thing, I still have that custom Marlin 45-70 I was trying to sell earlier. The deal fell through and I never tried again.

I can bring it if anyone is interested.

I'm hoping I will be able to make it this year again. I have to work out the details of when my internship starts. I got a couple things to add to the list should I be able to make it.
-Rem 600 or model 7 lightweight builds...Hoping to make this my summer project and looking for inspiration and ideas
-If the hill boys are coming i have wanted to shoot one of there exceptionally trim 45-70's with the 16" barrel
-Suggestions for everyones favorite beer as the 21st will be my 21st birthday!! :)

Having your 21st birthday at the Kifaru Rendezvous...you're a lucky man! I'll bring you a present.

Man, you have to make it to the Rondy now. Like Sawtooth said, "you're a lucky man" having your 21st at the Rondy! Plus I was hoping you'd show Ethan and I the spot where you caught those fish last year. Ethan is pretty fired up about fishing this year.

Scoutin,
It'd be my pleasure to show you and Ethan where the fish are down there. I might be down there everyday trying to catch dinner.

sounds like Scot is bringing his scout rifle and I'm bringing my marlin 45-70. We're trying not to bring *everything*...

space is going to be limited, so we're just not going to be able to live up to your's and other's excellent examples of bringing everything!

plus, two or three days in the slickrock country beforehand is going to leave the rigs vulnerable to break in from time to time.

Sawtooth, you going to bring your UL Koala? I'd like to compare it to the kit-bag.

Thanks

I am sorry to report that I will not be able to make the Rondy like I had anticipated. My internship will actually be getting under way earlier than I thought. Hopefully i will be able to make it up for a day or two at least but not the whole week like i had posted earlier.

Scoutin- I can shoot you a pm about where to catch some trout. Kevin also knows of some good spots down there as well. Somebody has to be eating fresh local seafood up there!

Bummer!
I guess that leaves more scotch for me and the fellas! I sure would appreciate some fish head intel.

If we're talking reservoir trout, I know a spot or two. I'd like nothing better than to see Ethan outfish the old man.

This is a reminder to Patrick to bring one of his model 600 pre rambling rifles. Its .308 so someone bring some ammo.
