Hello, I have been searching for several years for a manufacturer of scope rings, bases, and base screws for a Steyr Mannlicher Model M. I finally found a set of claw mounts, but no base screws. Steyr has ignored me in typical European customer service fashion for years, and they keep changing importers, who have been less than helpful. As a matter of perhaps foolish stubbornness I am determined to complete the scoping of my rifle myself rather than go to a gunsmith. If anyone can offer solid information I would sure appreciate it. Even a source for metric fine thread screws would be good (Brownell's doesn't carry them). Thanks for any help in advance, Bill

Bet they have something that would work, and work well.

Warne (http://www.warnescopemounts.com) lists bases for the model M.

Guys, I appreciate the feedback. I believe that all of the recommended companies are good leads. Just to let you know, when I called Warne, I said I just wanted to buy some scope mount screws. The lady said I didn't need to buy them, took my address down, and is sending them to me. Wow. What great customer service. Conetrol, Warne, and Talley all had very good customer service lines and seem responsive to the customer. Thanks, Bill

For anyone interested, I wanted to give kudos to Warne for having the best customer service I have experienced in quite some time. I called them on a Thursday and had base screws arrive on Saturday, no charge. They were torx head and fit the mounts perfectly. After 14 years I finally got my Steyr Mannlicher scoped. Rest assured that Warne will get my business in the future.
