So I have to say I知 really stoked about this new line. I love the Kifaru packs I have, but the older I get, the more my desire grows to shed some of the weight I知 schlepping around.

But I also have a compulsion to tweak my stuff and add my own unique elements.

I guess I could continue to use the Cordura stuff I致e made, or use it for other things I値l make, but I suppose if I get some of the new KU line for the weight savings, it makes sense to make my own stuff to accompany it from the same material.

So what are the chances that some of the DIYers among us could purchase a few yards of material?

I'd love to hear about this also. I'm interested in making a hammock. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. Am I correct in assuming that the KU material is item W9001?

I can't speak to what the exact KU material is or where it is sourced. That link is just a good source for high quality paraglider fabrics, many with mil-specs attached which is always a nice assurance of consistent production quality.

I had checked with Kifaru before about getting some of their material to make a poncho/shelter and was told it is a proprietary fabric and they would not sell raw fabric.
