1. Does any of the KU packs have a slot for a hydration bladder?

2. I have a G2 E&E. Will I be able to piggyback it on to the 3700.

Thank you.

SN,

Check the picture at this link (http://www.kifaru.net/KU3700_backview.html). It shows a hose port for a water bladder.

(1) The KU2200, 3700, and 5200 all have bladder pockets inside.

(2) The G2 E&E cannot be mounted on the KU packs.

Mel, I'm curious about why you are discouraging the mixing of components between the Hunting, Military and KU lines? You've already come up with a widget to go from 1" webbing to a standard 3/4 buckle. How much of a stretch is it to go from 3/4 webbing to 1" buckle? I could see the addition of accessories being inelegant on the KU packs but not completely impractical.

Hey bark-eater, I don't believe there is any discouragement on the mixing of components. If there is a way to mix and match we will let everyone know, just as we did with the split-bar ladderloc that will allow you to Dock n Lock KU pockets onto PALS webbing. We are kinda at the mercy of the hardware suppliers on what components they offer. Our Dock n Lock military pockets use 1" webbing and 1" split-bar SR buckles, and I can't think of any type of hardware that will allow attachment to our 3/4" components on the KU packs. Maybe folks out there will come up with something that might work even if it is inelegant.

I would be tempted to sew a loop of 3/4" webbing to a loop of 1" webbing, to connect the hardware.

I can see how unchecked modularity can be problematic as in "I just got a Kifaru E+E and a Large POD. I loaded it up with bowling balls and it didn't carry worth a darn." type reports.

I was wondering out that, or in the case of the pods just take off the 1inch webbing and thread through 3/4 inch webbing.
