Hi All,

I just received my 4 man tipi, but I can't find the setback measurements on the forums or the website. The instructions mention orange indicators on the canopy, but I do not see any type of indicator anywhere on the tipi. Could anyone please give me any general measurements for the setbacks?

Thanks for the help.

look inside the tipi stuff sack all of the directions are sewn into the bag.

The directions do not specify the setback measurments. They DO mention that there are indicators on the canopy, but there are none marked on the tipi.

I thought marking the tipi body was one of the mid 2010 changes.. weird they are not there, but my older 6 man does have the instructions on the flap in the bag like mentioned earler. However if you click "shelters" from Kifaru.net then on a tab at the bottom "setup" this tab lists setback for 4-16 mans.

For a 4 man
door to door set back is 28"
side to side set back is 7"

Thank you Spoolup!

I did not notice the tab on the tipi page. I think this calls for a camp out tonight. :)

Thanks again!

btw the orange loops should be next to the two loops that are 90 degrees from the door. they are the third and forth loops pegged with the 7" setback

So.... did you get a chance to try it out? Just curious. I just placed another order for a sawtooth, med stove, and other little things. I was debating the 4 man, but chose the sawtooth instead.

Please let us know how it worked out for you.
