I saw a post on assault web about a guy putting two back pouches on a scout as opposed to the long pockets mentioned on this site. Was he confused as to what he had or will the back pouches fit?

PP5,

Yes, you can put Back Pouches onto the Scout. You can put one on each side, and a Claymore Pouch in the middle.

OK Mel, I'll see your Scout and raise you a Pointman. It follows that one could do that too, right, or wrong?

That was probably me on Assaultweb.

I got two back pouches and a claymore pouch on mine. Lifted the idea from another website.

Now when I get my EMR i'll be able to strap on ludicrous amounts of gear.

Does it flop or get in the way somehow or does it ride ok with the back pouches?

Thats the great thing about the Dock and Lock system, absolute no flop at all. Right now I am not really using the the claymore pouch I got with my pack (must need to buy more gear!!) so I actually it attached to the two back pouches.

If one were of a mind I am sure that you could attach a backpouch on a scout, and then mount another one right on top/behind it (depending on your viewpoint) with no flop. It would be awkward but possible.

(Scratches head, walks 5' to get his scout)

.....Yup, got a claymore pouch cinched on tight right behind my back pouch. No flop at all.

Let me see what I can do. Any requests for a setup? I got a scout with 2 back pouches, a claymore, and a liter plus pouch.

Ok, I have seen those, but didn't catch that some had the back pouches vs the long pockets until I looked again. Thanks

I'll get some pics up late monday night. Show what the back pouch can handle. Considering a scout with the 2 back pouches plus the claymore you've got 4,050 Ci of space, you can haul a little or a lot on a scout.

Here we go.

Beck's added to show size comparison... yeah, thats the ticket.

Got it loaded up with ammo, magazines, and some pants to fill up some of the pouches...

Took the claymore off.

Side profile showing the how the liter plus sits. There is a Nalgene bottle in it.

Took all the pouches off except the liter plus. Left all the Dock and Lock female buckles on it. This system makes taking a pouch off real fast, and still holds it on almost secure as if it was sewn on.

Thanks, that helps and I just saw AMEDOPS's collection last night. I think perhaps the long packets will do until I see what the limits are, but I got plenty of everything to try so I could stop thinking about it.
