The General season starts next week, but My week in the woods isn't till Nov.14th, and snow and such will make it bit harder to get this done. So the Brother-in-Laws, went in today and cut wood, layed out a ground tarp, and split the wood. I can't wait!!!!!!!! I still feel like a kid. The days are going to get longer, and work will never end. Have a few trips before the week hunt so I'll start to cache items for the trip.

Huntsman,

There was a foot of snow on this site a week ago, by middle of Nov. There will be much more. The tarp is just a Poor mans snow shovel, we peel it over and have a snow pile for all the water we need and no need for the snow platform for the stove. Frozen ground is more my speed than trying to keep camp on a pile of snow.

Pete,
The tipi looks great. Have you used the stove yet?

Sorry Pete but we thought we would wait until you were up there to split the wood.

As long as we keep the Mad Dog away from you we will all be better off.

What the hell is wrong with Mad Dog? I have fond memories of passing around a bottle of Mad Dog and a bottle of Sudden Discomfort in college.

For those interested, those two do not mix well...

If you have to ask, it's already too late. LOL
