I've been looking around the Kifaru site and don't seem to be able to find pack covers. I would love to find one that has different colors/patterns on both sides. I have foliage gear so I would like to find a pack cover that could fit my E&E with extra pockets attatched that was foliage on one side and multicam on the other. Any such animal from Kifaru? I'll keep looking...

Alas, no. I too would like a few weather proof pack covers. Snow, woodland & MC.

They dont make rain covers anymore? They used to. I have one for my spike camp. Never used it, but thats a different story.

There's one over at the hunting section.

However, interesting this should be brought up now, since I happened across the original rain-cover design thread from way back when. There was a lot of opinions on what people wanted in a Kifaru tactical rain cover...

Something made of the same material as the Tarps and Tipis, but silicone-coated to make it fully waterproof (like the Woobie stuffsack seems to be, I guess). Sized to fit a MOLLE Express with a pair of Mini Longs on the side, an Organiser on the front and maybe an E&E over that.

Make that, Kifaru, and I will throw my money at you. ;)

Also a tiny one which securely attaches to the E&E (maybe with room for Skinny Minis and an Organiser) would be AWESOME, too...

----------------------------

I bought a 35-70l (medium) Osprey pack cover for the above MOLLE Express setup and it looks like the Stay-Puft marshmallow man because there's so much space left over. Insane.

Colorado Kid,

You mean, something like this?

Reversible ones are more difficult to find, but do exist. Problem being that reversible fabric tends to be heavy for this application where light-weight fabric is typically desired.

Hey Jadias, if you are looking for a silnylon pack raincover, check out these from Integral Designs. They are great guys to deal with, and make outstanding gear.

Anti-Gravity Gear also has sil-nylon pack covers for $18 in solid colors. I just got one in small size that fits the MOLLE Express nicely. The color I got isn't listed but is a nice shade of dark brown. At the moment, they don't have willow green.

You will likely not find sil-nylon in anything but solid colors - it's too translucent.

MB,
You must have been reading my mind, that top snow pattern & the flecktarn were exactly what I was thinking of! You even got the Norwegian? pattern on the lower left, I really like that one. I do love reversible patterns too. Now, where can I get a few of those?

CK,

For German pattern snow camo covers, google < rucksacküberzug schneetarn >. I bought mine from here http://www.survival.de/wbc.php?sid=662313095923&tpl=produktliste.html&rid=116 . Comes in sizes L and M, but unfortunately too small for a packed EMR.

Here's another one, a winter version of Danish Flecktarn, http://www.armyonlinestore.com/RucksaeckeTaschen-/Snow-Camo-Schneetarn-Tacgear-Rucksackueberzug::4320.html
I don't have one, but according the specs it's larger, and should fit upto 130l packs.

The Swedish one in M90 camo shown in my previous post is difficult to get, as recon.se doesn't ship international :(

Hope this helps.

Fantastic! Thanks Mel - a small one of them might be exactly the ticket. :)

Jacks’R’Better have this multi-purpose pack cover/gear hammock.
Two sizes and two coloiurs - blaze orange and moss green (which is not the neon green shown in the pictures - it’s more olive green.)

This one really takes the cake as a multi-purpose rain cover. Might actually get one...
