Went out scouting for elk today, but only came across this muley. Not knowing too much about rack size and all, how does this guy stack up?

He's okay... I guess... maybe... ;)

I would not be too concerned about elk hunting if that buck was a possible target.

I don't know I will have to see him in person. Please send GPS coordinates:)

Actually very nice! I would be quite proud to have him grace my wall.

I'd shoot that one w/o hesitating------------------or at least before I had the chance to start wondering if he had a big brother hiding near by.

Great 2nd post BTW!

So he is in the middle of what seems to be a plaza near the coast in key west florida (according to google earth). too bad my tag is in colorado.

Spread well outside the ears probably 26-27", deep front forks (read high score) and quite decent back forks, not to mention a really simetrical rack. i would say he could go in the mid 170's b&c kind of depending on just how symmetrical he is. score aside I would be shooting in a heartbeat. especially since archery season starts this weekend and i would be happy to shoot a doe with my bow.

I think that deer would "stack up" nicely in my freezer. Welcome to the board, veggie, how about an introduction, where are you from?

Nice buck! The velvet makes him look bigger, but I would be proud to harvest him.

Good luck and thanks for the post!

You've been watching too many episodes of "Buckmasters". :D

Very nice buck. Tall, wide and reasonably heavy. It's also early and he still has time to grow. His only scoring downfall is shortish main beams, if scoring is something that concerns you.

Still, he's a very good buck!
