What are the differences between the G1 and G2 Molle Express'?

The G2 MOLLE Express now has a hang loop for bladders, new QR shoulder strap buckles, new lumbar pad, and raised torso pads. Everything else is the same as the G1.

Aren't the stays longer as well, or was that only some of the other packs?

Evanhill, the stays are 21" long on the G1 and G2 Express. The G2 Zulu, Pointman, Navigator, and ZXR got longer stays.

I never owned the G1 MollExpress, but I just took my new G2 version on it's maiden voyage. I hiked the WhiteRock-Shores Lake Loop trail with about a 30 pound load in it. The trail is 15 miles long, starting with a high elevation of 2,400 and then a low of 600 and then back up to 2,400. Parts were very steep, rocky, and hemmed in with thick foliage (like mountainous jungle). My quads were burning, my feet and knees were a little sore, and I was covered in ticks, webs, and dirt after, but my shoulders and back were just fine. That G2 MollExpress is an outstanding pack. Very trim for thick bush, rides very nicely, didn't have to fight with it at all. The capacity is just right for long day hikes. This will be my go-to-pack for medium to long day hikes from now on.
