I'm trying to find a black sturnum strap bar to put on my older kif marauder
These would be ideal
http://www.supplycaptain.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&product_ID=325&ParentCat=30

but they don't do black. Does anyone have any suggestions

It seems to be getting more difficult to find ITW stuff in black. Is there a reason for this (military not approve black anymore)?

http://www.seattlefabrics.com/slides.html (about halfway down the page)

You can turn it into a split bar yourself with the cut off wheel on a dremel tool or maybe a hacksaw.

Black Kifaru gear comes with National Molding buckles and hardware. ( First Generation Kifaru gear)

Might give these folks a call or email. http://www.itwnexus.com/index.php

I've read were folks have gotten free samples from them.

Most of the quick fix kits revolve around supply/demand and what's popular. Also there is the issue of the hardware being IR compliant for military gear.

I've ordered some samples of slotted side release buckles from them.

I've gone through the process again to see if I can get a sturnum strap thing but haven't had an email. this time. I haven't recieved anything from the last time (couple of weeks ago)
I'll contact the UK seller on monday

They don't seem to have the slotted ones. I wasn't sure if the others would be strong enough if I cut a slot into them

I've cut my own slots into lots of different fastex items. I haven't had any break. Just mimic the slots you see in pictures of the slotted version, and you should be fine.

Not sure if the plastic hardware can be dyed, but what's the hold up with getting some locally and spray painting them?
