Rondy 2009 was a great time for young, and old(er) as well as the four dogs that were all enjoying the attention and outdoors. The 24-man might have had up to 42 in it at once....if the scotch counting was accurate. The picture of Patrick, our generous host, shows the 24-man and one stove packaged, which might be available to those needing a massive tipi. Lots of good discussion, teaching and show-and-tell occurred between the splendid food and beverage opportunities.

Jessie, the "sweet-hot twisted bacon" queen, is holding their four-month old Black Mouth Cur, same breed as Old Yeller, and the young pup went from being gun-shy (first photo) to being willing to sit range-side in about two hours.....it probably helped that Brian was showing their son the ropes with the .22 and the dog could see his master.

Huntsman22 and Scothill had some good chatter that ended with Scothill behind Huntsman's .204 looking to make the long targets ring. It was great to have the Northwest guys here....we were thinking they brought the Friday and Saturday morning weather with them, but by noon Saturday, the Colorado sun was out in force.

Singleshot had Randy down doing range-yoga with his sweet Thompson Center Contender knocking the swinging chicken. That pistol has a trigger that has changed my perspective on "clean and crisp".

The famed "big hat" is riding on Jon S. as he and Minda worked the black rifle over the targets. Their dogs, Belle and Tyrone enjoyed frisbee and any food they could sneak.

Sawtooth and Hanna, a fearless young gal, also spent some time on the range. It quickly progressed from Dad giving lessons; to Hanna rapidly feeding her little .22 and firing at any target downrange that caught her fancy. There is a beer can that can no longer even hold air given her workover. She could usually be found hanging out in a tree near the largest tipi.

One of our most eloquent and entertaining writers, Timberline, also took a few whacks (Sawtooth's 30-06 in hand) with a variety of arms present.

There were many others not pictured who all helped make Rondy memorable and the fantastic gathering it is. Final thanks to Patrick, Janice, Kevin, Kevin#2, Lori/Laurie, Maggie and the rest of the Kifaru crew who were there and helped make it a great event.

Super photos!

I especially like the shots of Singleshot and Randy shooting Singleshot's long-range TC and of Sawtooth's Hanna hanging in the tree.

Who else has photos? The more photos the better.
