Heres my black Marauder at the Tour de France with an 'Old School' Mountainsmith Tourpack attached to the back using the accessory loops on the Tourpack and the compression straps of the Marauder. It gave me an extra bit of room and a smaller pack when removed for following the course.
It also gave the Marauder a more 'Civilian' look.
I been running it without a waistbelt and with the internal stays removed as its so comfortable and with the small weights I've not felt the need.
The last thing I changed was the chest strap for a smaller 25mm wide one with a built in whistle.

How did you attach the Mountainsmith to the Marauder?

Hey Seigi, the Mountainsmith lumbar packs have webbing "ears" that you run the pack compression straps through, and then double them back and reattach them to the pack. When you tighten the compression straps, it locks the lumbar pack solid to the pack. Check out this old thread that I started, where it shows the Tailgunners being used as pockets. Click on the link in my first post for pics.

Mel,

Your drivin me crazy, it took me awhile to settle on the Marauder now I want to get a top loader and attach the TG to it. But, maybe I could get it to fit on the Marauder. Now there's an interesting thought /images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

well considering the design feature behind mountainsmith eventually became what is now Kifaru, this type of configuration and level of compatibility is expected /images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Imagine what you could attach with a BUGABOO

You can dock and lock an E&E on a MS Ghost, too.
