Just tapping into the resources here to find out if this watch is "Good to Go". If anyone here has any input on this piece of gear please post it. I am going to purchase a multi function watch soon and want to make the right decision.

Dennis - I personally like tritium analog dials, they can't be beat in the dark. There's one that's almost half the price of the Origo you're looking at.

I also like the tritium analog watches, and I happened to purchase one of traser H3 watches on closeout from LA Police Gear. Unlike BB's watch suggestion, the one I got has vials on all the hour marks and hands including the sweep hand.

As for LA Police gear, they are great.

One thing about tritium, it does eventually wear out. I have an issue Stocker & Yale watch I've worn for more than 20 years now, and it is noticably dimmer (still useful) than it was when I got it. It's available if anyone wants it.

My new watch is a 21-jewel field watch from Duluth Trading. Self-winding, analog (of course), with night markers on the hour & minute hands only. I've been wearing it for a couple of weeks with no noticable gain or loss in time from when I set it.
