I've been eyeing Kifaru's Scout pack as a possible day hike pack. Would anyone know its dimensions (height, width, depth)?

Here's a TG2, Scout and E&E for comparison:

Can you go over what's on the bags, pouch wise. I see a pair of Stash-Its on the TG2, Supply Captain Velcro Patch Panels on all 3 bags, an emdom lg utili-shingle on the Scout, and what looks like a smoke grenade pouch from TT on the right side of the scout. The other 2 pouches, one brown and one black I can't tell. TIA

Sorry, had that. Just didn't post it:

The TG2 is my wife's and she doesn't want a lot of crap attached to it. Just the single Stash-It for now.

You can't see it in the pics, but there's a Stash-It on the unpadded PALS belt of the Scout, along with a TT radio pouch for my Rino 130 and a TT Small Utility pouch for my Canon PowerShot.

The Scout also has a 7.62 double-mag pouch that houses Zeiss compact binoculars. Then there's a Kifaru Liter-plus pouch, and the Emdom large utili-shingle.

The black on the the back of the liter-plus pouch is the "holster" for a set of shooting-sticks.

Yes, Supply Captain velcro and patches.

Thank you very much! First picture in the series gives a clue to how deep the scout is. I'd be using it mostly for local 1/2 to full day hikes. Think it'd carry all this (some I carry in my cargo pockets):

- Food for up to 4, from simple sandwiches and fruit to shish-kabob fixin's and dry rice (if feeding 4 we usually split up the food load);

- Pocket rocket and teapot;

- Coffee/tea/hot cider mix;

- 2 qts water (USGI canteens on the scout's Kifaru belt);

- Small med kit (bandages, wraps, ibuprofen, moleskin);

- Ultralight 6x8 or 10x12 tarp (for windbreak) w/self made alum pegs;

- Poncho liner sometimes (for nap after lunch!);

- Windshirt &/or extra clothing layers;

- Binocs;

- Paper towels (double as TP);

- Lightweight E-tool (how to carry on the scout?);

- Firestarting kit(s)

Thanks again for the pics. All the gear looks great.

AOS you've outdone yourself with even a better scale representative. /images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
