Hey guys,

Any news on how things went last month? Who went? What was the weather like this year? Any changes?

well it was a bit windy this year but not too hot.
They added a short 15 mile course.

I belive there were 3500+ marchers and my feet have finally stopped hurting

Sounds just like last year (windy and hurting). Did you do heavy weight?

I did military light, did fine. It wasn't too hot, but much warmer and sunnier than last year. (This year's weather was more typical.)

There was a slight route change in between mile 24-25, where the housing area is under construction.

The hot dog stand was back this year at the half way point, after taking a year off.

They gave out the commemorative dog tag at registration. I prefer when they give it out at the finish line; something special for the finishers.

Last year was my first Bataan march (and my first ever marathon). Didn't make it this year.

Ralston: Yeah we got our dog tags at registration too. I'd agree with you that I would prefer it after.

Anyone else make it?

Chucker,

I did heavy for the first time this year, the other times it was mil light.

I aggree with you and RalstonS they should give the dog tag at the end.

I did learn one thing, I wish I would have had my navigator many years ago instead of jus the last couple. I spent too many years chained to an alice pack

AFComm guy, did we meet around mile 18 or so, right before going under the bridge? I checked out someone's Navigator at that spot.

RalstonS We must have, was I waiting on a civilian partner to fix his feet?

Did you ever get your pack on order?

If so which one?

Cool, yeah that was me! Unfortunately, I haven't ordered one yet. I've got to wait for my husband to finish up his nursing degree in August.

Did you happen to notice if there were any military injured folks there... amputees specifically. I know Mike McNaughton (an above the knee amputee) did the BDM last year... wasn't sure if he or anyone else did it this year.

I saw three military amputees. I'd have to see a picture of the guy to know if he was one of them.
