Bolty ,I've still got my Gray Swandri from 20 years ago ,how come they were made in DPM ?

They did them for hunters in the 80's then the Army bought a swandri like product which is basically a WW1 trenchcoat in cam, the original Swani's are good for farmers but not soldiers to big and bulky takes up half a Alice pack! not ot mention how heavy it is!

Yes, I've got one of the Kiwi army Swanni's, as bolty says they are heavy. A great piece of kit 20 years ago, mine is still going stong, but so much kit out there now is way ahead in terms of performance Vs weight carried.
Since my last 3 postings were all Vehicle Mounted, that wasn't a problem, until Timor. Then the rush to find something as warm, but much lighter!
