Nice set up.

Good shi...stuff there brother.

Had a chance to take it out and play with it yet?

Nah, just got stuffed it about an hour ago. My loadout for it is pretty light, so wouldn't be much of a hump. I did "clear" the bathroom to see how well it manevuered in a structure. Worked beautifully and didn't snag on the door way.

With everything picture together, I think I need to lose the waist belt most the time and maybe get a one peice MAV. Have to see how it plays out. They won't let us wear ACU stuff in the field yet

yeah man I hear that...our CO is a pain with that stuff. REALLY hope he lets up...especially since we're wearing ACU's anyway. Some CSM says that since 670-1 says civilian bags have to be all black with no logos; My only gripe is: pretty sure the following blend in better with a desert environment than black: ACU, CB, DTS, Tan, Green, neon yellow, neon orange and finally...hot pink. So I don't get why they didn't update that with the ACU change. Thoughts on that anyone?

What MOLLE belt is that with the HSGI suspender set up?

Betcha the belt is the ICE Tactical...

Hey Nate, just in case you need a reason to sell yet another organ, foliage Rigger's belts are available here:

Scroll down a little you'll find it...

I'll be watching Nate's posts to see how that belt holds up (Neoprene in Tac gear makes no sense to me) and how it fits below IBA (the contours of the belt make all the sense in the world).

Yes the belt is an ICE battle belt. I think I'm going to wait on the riggers belts from other companies come since yates only has two sizes, and there doesn't seem to be much of an industry standard regular and large.

The belt definately has nice contours and fits my small waist well. Haha no more chaffing on the hip bone /images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif So far I have no problems with the belt underneath armor, just what's on it. I modified my pistol pouches but putting them horizontal old school police styleez. Still debating on even leaving the compass on there(in the small TT ute). But it doesn't seem to interfere with anything as of yet.

Still playing with it all. But at least this time I'm figuring it out now instead of messing with it in country all year.

I am an Army officer, and where/when I have the say so, if it is Army camouflage, it ain't a "civilian bag". Can't wear your ACU in the field? It is a "field a uniform"...or are you talking about ACU patterned gear? Our unit now has issued gear in ACU, OD, woodland, coyote, and 3 color desert, depending on the type of gear. What a combo.

With us it's because we're a training BDE. We can wear ACU's in garrison, but they don't want us wearing them at ranges and STX's lanes. They still have us wear LBE and vietnam flak jackets

Every so often I get crap for wearing my MAV instead of LBE, but that's mostly from the older guys that aren't in touch with the new fight. Recent vets are like hey that's pretty cool. I have a loophole though, we technically haven't even in-processed into the unit yet. They took us straight from OIF III, and gave though who wanted a 6 month or year extension to train guys about to go over.

If I remember right A) the 670-1 isn't fully revised yet and B) If command has a problem, listing 670-1, hand carry it when you pass, they can't say anything then. Neon diaper bags with gremlins crawling out is then authorized.

And Tim if your in the desert, CSM's opinions don't count. The only one's that do will be right out there fighting along side ya. Most that would quote 670-1 over there are fobbits, forget em.

Dan, talkin about ACU patterned gear, we can wear our acu's in the field but are "requested" to wear bdu's when we go into training areas. A couple of guys have been stopped for non-black civilian bags. Just doesn't make sense to me. Hopefully there's more to follow on this update to 670-1 because I don't understand the whole fuss about it. Sometimes I think people sweat the little things a bit too much.

Leave it to a CSM....that's just plain stupid. Anyway, the Express looks great brotha! I'm anxiously awaiting mine and debating whether to thrown down for an ACU marauder or zulu. Already have a CB zulu and love it. I'm seeing more and more acceptance of ACU packs in the field, especially since all our gear is moving to ACU. Right now like Dan said, its a gear mix out there right now!

Great looking pack bro! Can't wait to get mine!

I have never owned or used a black bag. I have used OD, WC, and CB though. No one has ever said anything to me, but that may be partly due to my rank.

I'm also the one giving guys with black bags in the field ****, especially when they are issued a WC or OD assault pack.

Here's a couple crappy shots of the ICE belt under IBA. The IBA is an extra XL they actually thought I would wear in country(I wear a medium), ha idiots.

Right side. You can see how the vest rides right behind the pouches. Have to see if it'll fit the same with a medium.

Left side. Notice with pistol pouches horizontal, it's a perfect fit.

I probably should have put on some BDU's for more distinction between belt and uniform, but hey you try taking pictures of yourself at waist level :p

Dan, by the way, I have ACU's, DCU IBA, Woodland Gortex, Woodland Kevlar cover and OD LBE,...it's quite the sight when I'm on the range! People generally shut up when they see my score tho
