I'm just curious about how the Tactical Tailor First Responder Bag ( http://tacticaltailor.com/ ) compares in size to Kifaru's Tail Gunner 1. I've got a vague Idea based on PALs coverage but I'd like to see them side by side. TIA to all my favorite photographers!

NathanC,
Can't hurt to start... The FRB I ordered should get here today. Saw someone using a TG1 in the same role and I'm wondering how much bigger it really is... might make a nice step-up bag... (OK, I know it will, lol.)

Very nice! I just took delivery of a black FRB, 1H and shotgun shell panel (for use as an organizer either on the FRB or duty belt... very nice with pens... might end up homing my window punch and stylus along with Pilot G2 0.7 pens (ubiquitous in NYC EMS and ERs among both those who buy them and those who steal them) and my fat chinese super sharpie (5 for a buck in the 99c store) I'm really liking the FRB, but size is obviously a limiting factor... Is there anything in there or is it just socks and dirty underwear for the pix... I'm interested to see what kind of layout you have going. Nice Grobes pouch and SUV! ;-)

I have an IV kit, drip set, 1000ml saline, veniguard, various catheters, alchol wipes, pretty much everything you need to start a line. On the inside top panel I have oral, nasal and bite stick. Main compartent has emergency bandage, kerlix, military abd dressing, triangle bandage, ace wrap, sam splint and topped off with lung headphones and a baby syringe as a make-shift small suction.

I'll shoot some pics later of the inside of my green one. My ACU I just got the other day, but is basically the same. The 1H's have a VS-17 panel in one, 500ml and mask in the other.

Nathan,
Thanks, very nicely done... what size bag is that in the orange iv wrapup? I'm going to be setting mine up as a primarily BLS trauma bag with some MPH stuff in the toplid, a couple cinchtights a SAM, OPAs & NPAs, some primeds a little coban/coflex, some triangulars and some other admin stuff (ACRs/METTAGS, pen, marker, penlight, pocket mask... can get the ALS stuff but don't have the card in my wallet so I'll hold off on it.. will probably throw in a couple saline bullets/flushes or a bottle of eyewash, shears for the roof just came in from the trunk backpack when i met my old partner outside to BS before he goes in for his tour (yay walking around NYC streets in just socks (on my feet sillies) a few chemlights and whatever else is around... some abd pads and conform rolls cause they're easy to get around here and i'm used to working with them... tube of glucose... not much else, should be more than adequate for anything that's short of needing a multi-trauma on it... and they're in the car anyway...

I have a 500ml in the IV kit right now cause my 1000ml expired. I tried two 500ml's and it just didn't fit.

You can fit enough in there for about one good trauma patient. I put another 500ml in the outside SOB X-4. In country I also had a Gall's GSW kit and MS-2000 strobe attached to the outside.

Now I feel bad... I see IV bags by the hundreds and never think about a guy having "one" that's expired... I have to sit down and lay out the bag a bit, but I've pretty much got the ideas set. wating on my new tech bag for my trunk to come so I can empty out the molle medpack i have stuffed with random nonsense in there... could also just modernize the CLS M3/unit 1 bag loadout list and use that to stock the FRB... Think I might be ordering a coyote FRB soon to mate up with the marauder...

There's a new CLS packing list. All trauma, no boo boo's. The CLS course has been updated too. Now it's actually COMBAT Lifesaver, instead of let me help take care of your frostbite even though the medics are sitting in the aid station

The emergency bandages are pretty good, I like them alot. CAT tourniqets are pretty good too. There's also a website that sells the FRB with supplies and has NSN's coming soon. That'll be good for deploying units.

You wouldn't happen to have a copy/link to the new CLS packing list would you? I wonder how similar it is to the one that NAR is using with their FRBs (also wonder if they're getting them from TT or not... I know Eagle made some with standard Natick MOLLE Snap Straps for some SOF LBE set they did, might be the same as what's in the NAR set, they had a pack that looked similar to the one that Skedco makes (the assault pack one)... I like the Izzies (Israeli Bandages aka The Emergency Bandage) but I'm more into the H&H Cinch Tight stuff, and Bob there is a real good guy. I've used CTs a few times and getting PriMeds from them are uber-cheap (cheaper than kerlix unless I'm stealing, but 1/3 to 1/4 the size when packed...) I'm working tonight then I'll probably spend some time packing the bag up on the next few days off.

New CLS info (http://www.cs.amedd.army.mil/clsp/files/documents.htm)

I think NAR is the same package I was looking at. It was listed as unconventionalmedic.com I think.

Sweet... Unconventional Medic is the same as NAR (North American Rescue/NA Rescue)... I just DL'd like 85 docs from the links on those pages, thanks! (I'm such a word whore!)
