That I can fit a SAM and some other FAK items in:

It measures 4.25 Tall X 3.75 Thick X 3.5 Wide. I was thinking the new Mini-Long but I'm open to suggestions.

I don't know if you've thought of it or actually tried it, but store the sam splints flat. Unroll it completely then fold it back over itself to form a rectangle. They store more compactly like that and are easier to use if you need them quickly instead of unrolling them.

My SAM Splint stored flat fits nicely in the hydration pouch of my SpikeCamp. If I'm carrying a PLB, I wrap the SAM around it to prevent accidental activation in the event of a fall, and also to protect it somewhat.

I forgot totally about the flat SAM's. What do they measure, L x W x H, if I may impose on one of you?

Folded flat my Sam Splint is 4-1/4" w. x 6-1/4" l. x 1-1/4" thick

umm, depends on how you fold it...

I used the Kifaru malice 2QT pouch for an IFAK before. Worked really well.
